The Ferret Rescue of Maine, is a state licensed shelter. We are a 501c3 Non-Profit Rescue and Shelter and are  dedicated to serving the needs of the domestic ferret throughout the state, regardless of their age, health or political affiliation.

We also work with the local pet stores to provide education seminars for ferret owners, and people considering ferrets as a new addition to their house. We answer questions, offer free ear cleaning and nail clipping. (for ferrets only!)

If you are looking for a veterinarian for your ferret, please visit our FERRET LINKS page for a listing of vets in Maine who specialize in treating ferrets.

Please visit the How You Can Help page to see how you can shop online and a portion of your purchase will go to help shelter ferrets!
