The Ferret Rescue of Maine, is a state licensed shelter. We are a 501c3 Non-Profit Rescue and Shelter and are dedicated to serving the needs of the domestic ferret throughout the state, regardless of their age, health or political affiliation.
We also work with the local pet stores to provide education seminars for ferret owners, and people considering ferrets as a new addition to their house. We answer questions, offer free ear cleaning and nail clipping. (for ferrets only!)

Dear new mommy,
You haven't met us yet, but we are hoping for your arrival soon. My name is Delmar (left) and I'm here at Ferret Rescue of Maine with my sister Violet. We are waiting for you.
We are three years old and came to live here at F.R.O.M because our old mommy was moving and couldn't take us with her. We are very sad. Jim & Crystal at F.R.O.M. have told us to be patient, but we're ready to go to our new home now.
Although Violet and I love each other, I'm not too fond of other ferrets, so we need to come to live with you where we will be the only ferrets in our new home. Together, we're both sweet and loving kids who love to play. Please come and see us.
