| Ferret vets are very different from your "run-of-the-mill" dog and cat vet. Ferret vets are uniquely trained to deal with the various illnesses of ferrets, and can recognize the symptoms of a sick ferret that other vets might not notice. Ferrets, since they are such small animals with such high metabolisms, can not wait for a vet to "figure out" what might be wrong with a ferret.
