September 19-25 is Adopt A Less Adoptable Pet Week!
Many factors can make a pet seem ‘less adoptable’.  Top promote these unusual (or, in some cases, too common) animals, Petfinder.org has designated September 19-25 as “Adopt A Less Adoptable Pet Week”.

According to a Petfinder.org survey, shelters have the most difficult time placing pets that are senior/older or require medication.   Currently, the Ferret Rescue of Maine has many adoptable ferrets at different ages and colors.  Consider adding a ferret to your home and find a forever friend!
